Chilly day.

We don't get much of a winter where I live. Or much of any kind of season. Or weather.

From day to day, our weather is much the same day to day: Chilly in the mornings, hot in the afternoons.

It's not even a question of what the weather is doing when you get dressed, you just know, it's the same.

So understand my joy when I woke up this morning and my toes were chilly. I opened up my yarn drawer and pulled out all of the chunky and bulky thick soft yarns in my stash. All of them. They were wonderful, I sat in bed with them for fifteen minutes looking at all of them.
I finally decided on a beautiful baby blue one, no label anymore, so I've got no idea what it's made of and by whom, but all I know is that I love it!
I sat down with all of my recorded shows on the DVR from the last week and busted out a scarf with it within two hours. And that's with pulling out 2/3 of it to redo it.

Partway through, Zoe came in and decided that it was a great place to lay down.

Good thing she's cute.

Okay, I know it looks a bit silly with the holes in it,b ut bear in mind it doesn't get very cold here so this one keeps me from overheating.

I love my scarf, but that sad part about crocheting in a place with no actual temperature changes to speak of throughout the year, they're impractical. As with nearly anything that I make.
Oh well, I'm glad to have the beach and the nice weather we have.
